Dose (12)
Last night I went to watch 'Dose' (which means 12) with TBR (the Bakla Review) and I have to say it is one of the best indie films I have seen through out the year. Wait, slash that, one of the best indie films ever. Go catch it! It's showing now at Robinson's Galleria as part of cinema one filmfest, check your timing as they show it only once a day (they cycle through several films throughout the day).

It is a really good film. A story very well told without being over the top or being explicit, and the best part? It didn't need to be explicit.






*Another film that is showing in cinemans is '100'! We were suppose to catch the last full show but we were tied up with a previous engagement. :(

Hi lobster tony. Hope you'll get to read this. I am Senedy Que, the director of "Dose." Thank you so much for the positive words you wrote about my film. It is a humble, personal film, and I appreciate any words of encouragement! As you know, our film did not win any awards at the Cinema One Originals, but I am moving on - submitting it to filmfests and queer fests all over. Hopefully, it will find its niche and its audience worldwide, because stories like this need to be told and shared. :-) Maraming salamat. Will keep u updated about the long road that lies ahead for "Dose". Find me in Facebook and leave your email address. Also, would you know the contact info of the author of "The Bakla Review"? I tried but could not find any info. His review reflects exactly what I wanted to convey in my film and I am glad that someone "got" it! :-) Happy holidays!!!

Hi Senedy! OMG! I am humbled that you posted on my blog (starstruck! Come on, as if you need to introduce yourself as the director of the movie I raved about.)

I do know the author of the Bakla Review but I have to apologize but his identity is not mine to share and he wishes to remain mostly anonymous. I'll be sure to tell him of your appreciation and that he "got it" :D (actually, I already did).

It's a brave and wonderful film, and you braver for doing it. It is sad that most people don't seem to get even a small piece of it and get stuck.

Good luck and more films from you please! We movie going fans definitely need ones like yours to replace some of the bad taste that is left by other indie films. :D

Hi lobster_tony! How have you been? As you may already know, Cinema One is giving "Dose" a one-week limited engagement at the Robinsons Galleria Indiesine July 1 to 7. You and TheBaklaReview (since you know him personally) are two of the earliest supporters of the film. I am wondering if you could help me spread the word in your respective blogspots and include the youtube trailer in it, too? So sorry for this favor i am asking. I really just want the film to do well - and maximize the target audience. Thank you very much in advance.

No problem! I'll definitely post about it, though I don't think I'm prolific enough as the other blogs out there. Will spread the word to them as well. :D
